An Xbox insider has suggested that the gaming giant might host a new event in January 2025. Over recent years, Xbox has increasingly used video presentations to keep fans updated on projects from its various studios. One such format, the “Developer Direct” series, has become a key platform for showcasing upcoming titles from Xbox Game Studios. Now, it seems another event could be just around the corner.
Reporter Tom Warren hinted that Xbox might hold a new presentation next month. While he didn’t confirm the event, Warren expressed confidence that it’s likely to happen. Given Warren’s strong track record with Xbox-related leaks, it’s plausible he has insider knowledge supporting this claim.
If Xbox follows its pattern from 2024, a Developer Direct in January would make sense. At the start of this year, Xbox hosted a January presentation that featured major updates on titles such as Avowed, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. With this precedent, it wouldn’t be surprising to see another similar showcase in January 2025.
Xbox also has an impressive slate of games lined up for release in 2025 that could be featured in an event like this.
